Heloise Duffie de Tassigny of the women's cross country team was named as the Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Sleep Inn, for the month of November.
Duffie de Tassigny was selected as the player of the week twice in November.
For the period ending Nov. 4, the Angers, France native won the individual race by completing the 5K course in 18:18.4 at the Peach Belt Conference Championship on Nov. 3. She is the second women's runner from Flagler to win the individual title, joining Sara Mund who did it in 2013. Duffie de Tassigny won the race by 14.5 seconds and helped the Saints win their second conference title. She was honored the day before the race at the awards banquet as the PBC's Runner of the Year.
For the period ending Dec. 2, she was Flagler's top finisher at the NCAA Division II Championships Dec. 1 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Duffie de Tassigny finished in 41st place, the best finish ever by a Flagler runner at the D2 Championship, and her time (23:34.1) was just one second, and one place, shy of earning All-America honors.
