Natalie Murphy of the softball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending March 25.
Murphy batted .444 with eight hits, including two home runs, eight runs batted in and four runs scored as Flagler posted a 4-2 record. She drew three walks and only struck out twice in 18 official at bats. Murphy was perfect on 31 total chances in the field.
She went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run and four RBI in the second game vs. Nova Southeastern. She collected three singles, scored a run and drove in another in the first game at UNC Pembroke and then hit a two-run homer in the second game.Â
Murphy is second in the Peach Belt Conference in hits (42) and doubles (11), is sixth in RBI (28), and seventh in total bases (67) and batting average (.389).
