Flagler College Athletics

Melanie Oliver of the softball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 7.

Oliver led the Saints with a .421 batting average as Flagler posted a 5-1 record, all against Peach Belt Conference foes. She led the team with eight hits, three doubles, three runs batted in and two runs scored. Oliver's .579 slugging percentage also leads the team.

Her RBI-double vs. UNC Pembroke got Flagler on the board first and she added a single later in the contest. Oliver went 3-for-4 against Francis Marion. She hit an RBI-double and then added an RBI-single. She had a pair of hits vs. No. 6 North Georgia.

Oliver leads the team with three triples.
