Ethan Crout of the baseball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending March 4.
Crout batted a team-high .529 and led the club in hits (9), runs (8), doubles (2), total bases (11) and on-base percentage (.579) as the Saints posted a 4-0 record. Against Embry-Riddle, Crout went 4-for-4 with a double, four runs scored and two runs batted in. He was on base all five times he batted. The Jacksonville native then went 3-for-4 with a double and he scored three runs in the series opener at Lander. Crout added a pair of singles and scored a run last Saturday at Lander.
For the season, Crout leads the team with a .377 batting average and his 26 hits and 25 runs scored also tops the club. He leads the PBC in runs scored, is third in stolen bases and is fourth in hits.
