Tabitha Odabe of the women's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 18.
This is the third time she has received the weekly award (Dec. 24 and Jan. 14).
The 6-foot-5 junior averaged a double-double with 13.0 points and 14.0 rebounds per game helping Flagler to a 3-0 week. Odabe also recorded 13 blocked shots last week. She made 50 percent of her shots (18-36) from the field. Against Georgia College, Odabe scored 10 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and added six blocks. She added an 18-point, 15-rebound effort against Georgia Southwestern and finished the week with 11 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks vs. Francis Marion.Â
Odabe leads the nation with 94 blocks, an average of 4.1 per game. She is averaging 10.1 points and 12.4 rebounds per game.Â
