Sara Davis of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec 3.

Davis also was named the athlete of the week back on Sept. 3.

The senior middle hitter helped lead the Saints to its third regional title after posting a .408 hitting percentage with 38 kills and only nine errors on 71 swings. Davis also had four aces and 10 total blocks. In the regional final vs. Wingate, the Akron, Ohio naive had 10 kills, hit. 346 and had three total blocks. Davis had 16 kills and seven total blocks in a five-set win over Anderson in the semifinal.

Davis leads the Peach Belt Conference in hitting percentage (.406) and solo blocks (20), is second in kills (372) and kills per set (3.41) and fourth in blocks per set (0.93).

She was selected as the D2CCA Southeast Region Player of the Year and is a consensus all-region selection. Davis was also selected as the PBC Player of the Year.
