Taja Valmyr of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Sept. 17.

Valmyr helped lead the Saints to a 2-1 week, the team's first road trip of the year. She led the team with 59 kills (4.54/set) and added 47 digs (3.62/set). The Green Cove Springs, Florida native recorded a career-high 25 kills in a four-set win over Cedarville University last Saturday. She added 15 digs. Valmyr recorded three double-doubles last weekend.

Valmyr leads the Peach Belt Conference in kills per set (4.41), is fifth in solo blocks (3) and eighth in kills (97).
