Vaughn McCall of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 22.

McCall helped leads Flagler to a 2-1 week as he averaged 19.3 points per game and made a team-high 10 3-pointers. His 3-pointer with 13 seconds left allowed Flagler to re-take the lead (82-80) and hold on for an 83-80 victory at Clayton State which helped Flagler snap a six-game losing streak as well as a 17-game road losing streak. In that game, McCall was 50 percent from the floor (8-16) and from 3-point range (5-10). He scored a team-high 21 points in a loss at Augusta and added 16 points in a win over Trinity (Fla.) on Saturday.

McCall is third in the PBC in 3-pointers made (41), eighth in points per game (17.3) and he leads the league in minutes played per game (36.8).
