Cortlin Davis of the men's basketball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Dec. 18.
Davis averaged 20.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game to help Flagler to a 2-0 week. He recorded his second double-double of the season with a 25-point, 12-rebound effort which helped Flagler defeat No. 25 Columbus State University, 97-82, last Saturday. Davis made 8 of his 16 field goal attempts and made 9 of 11 from the free throw stripe. He added two assists, two steals and one blocked shot to his line. Davis had 16 points and six rebounds vs. Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras.
Davis is fifth in the Peach Belt Conference in scoring (19.1 ppg), eighth in rebounds per game (8.4) and 10th in field goals made (49) and blocked shots (11).
