Sara Davis of the volleyball team was selected as the Academy Bus Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Nov. 13.
This is the second week in a row that Davis was selected as the athlete of the week and fourth time this fall.
Davis helped Flagler to a 3-0 week as the Saints clinched a share of the Peach Belt Conference regular season the title. She led the team with 41 kills (4.10/set) and hit .372. She added four aces and seven total blocks. Against Francis Marion, Davis recorded a match-high 16 kills and hit .414 in a 3-1 win. Eleven of those kills came in the final two sets. In a sweep of UNC Pembroke, she played just two sets but finished with a match-high 15 kills and hit .609. In the third set, Davis recorded nine kills and hit a ridiculous .818. In the regular season finale, she recorded 10 kills and added five total blocks.
The Akron, Ohio native is second in the PBC in hitting percentage, fourth in solo blocks, fifth in total blocks, seventh in kills per set and block assists, eighth in blocks per set and ninth in kills.
