Kelly Burge of the women's tennis team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 28.

Burge won both of her singles matches and teamed with Mary Jo Nanti to win both doubles matches as No. 16 Flagler went 2-0 last week and extended its winning streak to seven matches. The Saints also knocked off No. 3 Saint Leo University on Saturday.

Burge won at No. 5 singles vs. Madeline Gauthier of Saint Leo in three sets - 4-6, 6-1 and 6-2. In doubles, Burge and Nati took down the No. 1 tandem for Saint Leo, 8-3.

This spring, Burge is 6-2 playing singles with a 4-2 record at No. 5. She and Nanti are undefeated in seven matches in doubles play.
