Andrew Smith of the men's indoor track team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Feb. 7.

Smith won the one mile run last Saturday at the Vince Brown Invitational with a school record time of 4:12.31, which when converted is a 4:09.13, which is just a handful of seconds shy of an automatic qualifying time for the NCAA Division II Championships. Going into the weekend, Smith had the 12th fastest time in Division II in the mile run. He eclipsed that time this past week.
