Andrew Smith of the men's indoor track team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 24.

Smith won the mile run (Collegiate Division) with a school record time of 4:15.46. He won the race by nearly three seconds and bested Cory Mundy's school record of 4:17.13 set last year. Smith trailed the leader until the final 200 meters where he made his kick and made the move past the leader for the win.
