Litisha Speights of the women's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 3.

Speights averaged 10.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in her first two games of the season. She missed the first eight games due to an injury. In her second game of the year, last Saturday at Lander University, Speights recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
