Taja Valmyr of the volleyball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Nov. 22.

Valmyr helped lead Flagler to its fourth Peach Belt Conference Tournament title as she was named the tournament's most valuable player after recording a team-high 39 kills. Valmyr record 15 kills in a semifinal win over Armstrong State University and 15 more in the title match at USC Aiken. She hit a sizzling .375 in the PBC final.

For the season, Valmyr has 250 kills and has a .145 hitting percentage.
