Sara Davis of the women's volleyball team was selected as the TraveLynx Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Oct. 4.
This is Davis' second athlete of the week honor this year.
Davis helped lead the Saints to a 2-0 week as she recorded a team-high 34 kills and had a team-high nine total blocks. Davis hit a team-best .452 as she had only six errors on 62 swings. She racked up a match-high 17 kills, hit .438 and had four total blocks in Flagler's five-set win at Augusta University. The next day at Georgia College, Davis again had a match-high 17 kills, hit .467 and added five total blocks in a four-set win.
For the season, Davis leads Flagler in kills (162), hitting percentage (.429), solo blocks (6), block assists (36), total blocks (42) and blocks per set (0.88). Davis ranks fourth in the PBC in kills per set (3.38), seventh in kills, first in hitting percentage and 10th in blocks per set.
