Zach Horne of the men's golf team was selected as the Sizzlin' Saint award recipient, sponsored by Applebee's, for the month of May.
 
"I'm very proud of Zach," said Santiago Cavanagh, the director of golf. "All of his hard work and dedication is paying off."

In May, Horne shot a 14-over par 230 at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional. He carded a 2-over 74 in the second round.

Horne finished fourth on the team this year in scoring average with a 74.58 strokes per round. He was the top finisher in the dual with Trinity College (Conn.) and had two top five to go along with four top 10 finishes this year. Horne carded a season-low round of 67 at the Southeastern Collegiate.
