Parker Nayman of the women's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending January 4.

Nayman recorded her first double-double of her career with a 19-point, 17-rebound effort in an 81-78 loss Saturday (Jan. 3) to Lander University. She nearly doubled her season totals in points and rebounds with her tallies against the Lady Bearcats. She made 50% (8-16) of her shots from the field and recorded two blocked shots. Nayman had 11 points and 10 boards at the half.

Nayman is averaging 4.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game through nine games.
