Keshaun Hamilton of the men's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending December 21.
Hamilton, a 6-foot-9 junior center, started all three games last week and led the team in scoring with an average of 20.3 points per game, and rebounding with a 10.3 per game average. He made 51.3% (20-39) of his shots from the field and sank three 3-pointers. Hamilton also made 85.7% (18-21) of his free throw attempts. He added six assists and five blocked shots.
In his first start in a Flagler uniform, Hamilton scored a season-high 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds against Florida Tech. He played in 38 minutes in Flagler's overtime loss to Young Harris and scored a team-high 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He had three assists and three blocks in the game against Young Harris.
For the season, Hamilton is averaging 14.0 points and a team-beast 8.4 rebounds per game.
