Corey Mundy of the men's cross country team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending November 23.
This is the fourth time this fall Mundy has been selected as the student-athlete of the week.
Mundy finished in fourth place against the best runners in the region at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional last Saturday at the University of Montevallo. He finished the 10K course with a time of 31:39.56, just a little over 16 seconds behind the winner. Mundy's finish made him an all-region runner for the second year in a row.
Because he is one of the top three individuals from teams not heading to nationals, he will go to Louisville, Kentucky for the national championship on Dec. 6. Mundy also ran in last year's championship at Spokane, Washington. Â
