Spencer Schindler of the men's golf team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending May 11. He is the final recipient of the student-athlete of the week award for the 2013-14 academic year.

This is the second time this season Schindler has been selected as the student-athlete of the week (Feb. 16).

Schindler finished in a tie for third place at the NCAA Division II South/Southeast Regional at the Savannah Quarters Country Club (May 5-7). He shot a 4-under par 212 in the 54-hole tournament, the lowest score any Flagler golfer has recorded at an NCAA postseason event. Schindler shot a 1-under 71 on the first day, a 3-under 69 on the second day and closed with an even par 72 in the final round. He helped lead Flagler to a ninth place finish.

Schindler leads the Peach Belt Conference in scoring with an average of 71.7 strokes per round. He is ranked No. 7 in Division II by Golftstat.
