Richard Brown of the men's basketball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week, for the period ending Jan. 12.

Brown averaged a team-best 16.5 points per game as Flagler posted a 1-1 record last week. He made 54.5% (12-22) of his shots from the field, including a 58.3% 7-12) mark from 3-point range. Brown scored a career-high 22 points in a 79-78 win over Georgia College.

Brown ranks eighth in the Peach Belt Conference in assists (52) and 10th in assist to turnover ratio (2.3).
