Courtney Conner of the dance team was selected as the Diamond in the Rough for the month of January, sponsored by Nettles Fine Jewelry.
“Courtney is a freshman and this is her first year on the team but she has already made a huge impact," said head dance team coach Sarah Gallo. "Her bright smile and humor help to keep practices light-hearted and positive. With such a strong background in ballet, Courtney is always trying help other team members improve technique and performance quality while constantly seeking different ways to continue improving her own. She exhibits strong leadership abilities and is always thinking about ways to improve our choreography, technique, team togetherness, and performance. I'm very excited to have Courtney on the team.”
