Brett Moreland of the baseball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Feb. 26.
Moreland batted a team-high .704 (12-for-17) with two doubles, a triple, knocked in five runs and scored a team-high seven runs. He boasted a .941 slugging percentage and a .700 on-base percentage to help lead the Saints to a 3-1 week. Moreland also recorded an outfield assist. In Saturday's second game at Georgia Southwestern, he went 3-for-4 with four runs scored and was a home run shy of the cycle. In Sunday's game, he went 4-for-5 with two runs batted in.
This season, Moreland leads Flagler with a .414 batting average. He tops the team in hits (24), doubles (7), triples (2) and is tied for the team-lead with 12 runs scored.
