Flagler College Athletics

Dan Reid of the men’s soccer team was selected as the Diamond in the Rough for the month of October, sponsored by Nettles Fine Jewelry.

Reid, a senior defender, played in five matches with three starts and logged 196 minutes on the pitch. He was part of a Flagler defense which allowed 1.08 goals in October and produced four shutouts.  He was selected as the Peach Belt Conference’s Defender of the Week on Sept. 27.

Reid is a standout student as well as he is carrying a 3.74 grade point average in sport management.

Flagler finished the season by reaching the elite eight of the NCAA Division II National Tournament and closed with a record of 17-3-3.
