Flagler College Athletics

Lindsay Zullo of the women's soccer team was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Month, sponsored by Courtyard and Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott St. Augustine, for the month of September.

Zullo was selected as the Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Sept. 25.

She started all eight games i September and scored six goals, three of which were game winners. Zullo also converted a penalty kick.

Her goal off a direct kick in overtime gave Flagler its first victory over a ranked opponent in a little over four year when it defeated No. 23 UNC Pembroke 3-2. Zullo's PK in the 81st minute proved to be the game winner at Newberry.

She is tied for seventh in the Peach Belt Conference in goals with six and 10th in points with 12. Zullo's 53 shots rank second in the league.

She was a preseason all-conference selection.
