Crystal Niederriter of the women's volleyball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Oct. 2.

Niederriter recorded 29 kills and hit a team-best .442 to help lead the Saints to a 2-0 week with wins over Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke. She had just six hitting errors on 52 swings. Niederriter also led the team with five total blocks.In a 3-1 win over Francis Marion last Friday, she recorded 14 kills and hit .393. In last Saturday's match against UNC Pembroke, Niederriter supplied 15 kills and hit .500. She had only three errors on 24 swings.

For the season, Niederriter is tied for the team-lead with 191 kills and leads the team in hitting percentage with a .414 average, which leads the Peach Belt Conference. She is second on the team in blocks with 54 and third in service aces with 14.
