Breezy Collings of the softball team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Mar. 27. This is her second time earning the award. Collings was the student-athlete of the week Feb. 6.
Collings batted .500 with seven hits, two home runs, seven runs batted in, 13 total bases and a .929 slugging percentage to help lead Flagler to a 2-2 week. Her grand slam in the first game of last Saturday doubleheader at No. 23 Armstrong tied the game at 6-all in the top of the seventh. Flagler would go on to win the game 8-6 in eight innings. She also belted a two-run homer in Flagler's 10-run second inning in the second game at Armstrong.
For the season, Collings leads the team with a .410 batting average and also leads the team in hits (55), home runs (7), RBI (50), total bases (82) and slugging percentage (.612). She leads the team with a .996 fielding percentage.
