Gino Ramirez of the men's tennis team was selected as the TraveLynx Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending Mar. 6.

Ramirez won both of his singles matches last week and split two doubles matches. He won in straight sets over David Tisserand, 6-2 and 6-3, of No. 10 Concordia (N.Y.) and teamed with David Cotrone to defeat seventh-ranked Andrey Boldarev and Daniele Piludu 8-5. Last Saturday, Ramirez defeated Quentin Vachez of top-ranked Barry, 6-2, 3-6 and 6-2.

For the season, Ramirez is 5-1 in singles play and 5-1 in doubles play.
