Rachel Hester starts her first year as the athletics communication intern.
Hester played softball all four years at Flagler College. She pitched in 103 games, racking up 31 wins, the sixth most in program history. Hester worked more than 400 innings with 282 career strikeouts, the sixth most in program history. She had 103 appearances and 59 starts, ranking third all-time at Flagler.
She was named PBC Freshman of the Week (March 2) after tossing three scoreless innings at No. 3 Valdosta State. She made 22 appearances with 15 starts as a sophomore. As a junior, she threw a no-hitter with a career high of 12 strikeouts against Allen University (March 20). Senior year, Hester fanned 40 batters in 66.1 innings pitched. Was a two-time recipient of the PBC Presidential Honor Roll Presidential Scholar.
Hester graduated from Navarre (Fla.) High School. She was a four-year letter winner in softball with 356 career strikeouts, 157 of which were during her senior year, and a .400 batting average. Hester was inducted into the Navarre High Softball Hall of Fame in 2021 and capped her high school career playing in the Pensacola Sports Association All-Star Game and walked away with the East MVP honors.
In May 2025, Hester graduated from Flagler with a BA in Sports Management.
