Peter DellaVecchia

Peter DellaVecchia is in his first year as the athletics operations and external relations coordinator at Flagler College.

DellaVecchia comes to Flagler from the Veritas Classical School where he was the athletic director and served as a classroom teacher for close to 17 years.

DellaVecchia earned his bachelor's in elementary education from the University of Central Florida. Having always been interested in administration, he later returned to Stetson University where he earned his master’s in educational leadership. During his tenure as a teacher, he has had the opportunity to teach all grades from kindergarten to 12th grade at a variety of different schools as well as online. In addition to an extensive career as an educator, DellaVecchia has also coached both boys and girls lacrosse at multiple levels and he is a high school and collegiate men’s lacrosse official with over 15 years of experience. Coach D., as most of his students and athletes call him, is excited about the opportunity to positively impact students through physical education in the Athletics Department.

Originally from Mt. Vernon, New York, DellaVecchia lived most of his life in Palm Coast, Florida. He resides in St. Augustine with his wife and their two children, both of whom attend Veritas. When he is not teaching or officiating, he enjoys mountain biking and spending time at the beach with his family.
