Tim Stoltenberg is in his seventh year as an assistant coach for the women's soccer program.
Stoltenberg, and the entire staff, was selected as the 2019 United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region Staff of the Year.
He comes to the Ancient City from Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, where he served as a graduate assistant for two seasons. In 2017, Stoltenberg helped coach the team to a 14-2-3 overall record and the Lady Warriors were ranked in the NAIA Top 25 for nine consecutive weeks. The following season, Midland posted a 14-3-4 record and advanced to the national tournament's round of eight. The Lady Warriors finished the season ranked No. 9. Stoltenberg coached 12 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) selections, three GPAC Players of the Year, and four NAIA All-Americans, which included the only first-team All-American in the conference's history.Â
Stoltenberg also served as an assistant boys' soccer coach at Gretna (Neb.) High School, his alma mater. He has also had stints with the Gretna Soccer Club, Thomas County Central High School, and Thomas University (Ga.).Â
He earned his bachelor's in pure and applied mathematics, with a minor in economics, at Hastings (Neb.) College. He was the team captain and was a two-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete. Stoltenberg earned his master's in adult organizational learning from Midland.  Â
