Tara Shelley begins her third season as the director of sports medicine at Flagler.
Shelley comes with 12 years experience as an athletic trainer. She has spent time at Bluefield College, Presbyterian College, and North Carolina A&T State University as an assistant athletic trainer. She served as the head athletic trainer for football at North Carolina A&T State. Most recently, Shelley worked as the head athletic trainer at St. Augustine High School while also assisting at Flagler.Â
Shelley received her bachelor's in history from Florida State University and earned her master's in athletic training from Shenandoah University. She is NATA-BOC certified (2011) and American Heart Association Instructor Certified (2022).
