Sam Orf

Sam Orf began his first season as an assistant coach at Flagler College on July 1, 2022.

He spent the 2021-22 season playing professional basketball for the BC Raiffeisen Flyers Wels of the Austrian Basketball League. Orf helped lead the team to six Alpe Adria Cup. He averaged 13.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. Orf made 39 percent of his three-point attempts in 20 games.

Ork played for years at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. He helped lead the Chargers to three NCAA tournament appearances, including one sweet 16. He was a two-time All-Gulf South Conference selection and was named the GSC West Division Player of the Year in 2021. Orf was selected as a NABC Division II All-American in 2021 and earned All-South Region honors. He was the 27th UAH player to surpass the 1,000-point plateau. Orf was part of the winningest class at UAH as they won 81 games. He was the first UAH CoSIDA Academic All-America® selection and was a GSC Commissioner's Top 10 Award finalist. Orf was a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District® honoree and was a four-time GSC Academic Honor Roll selection. 
  
Orf graduated from UAH with a bachelor's degree in sports and fitness management and business administration in December 2021. He graduated from Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Missouri where he led the team to three elite eight appearances, one final four, and one state championship.Â
