Biography

2010 (RS-JUNIOR): Played in 38 games with 34 starts...Batted .347 with 42 hits, 12 doubles and 22 RBI...Went 3-for-4 with two runs against Alabama-Huntsville (Feb. 6)...Went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in a career-high five runs against Montevallo (Apr. 11).

2009 (JUNIOR): Redshirted.

2008 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 22 games with 14 starts...Batted .267 with four doubles and five RBI...Went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI vs. Rollins (Apr. 4)...Went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs scored and an RBI at Lynn (Apr. 12).

2007 (FRESHMAN): Played in 23 games and started 16...Batted .310 with four doubles and eight RBI...Went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in first collegiate start vs. Tennessee Wesleyan (Feb. 4)...Went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI vs. Bethel, Ind. (Feb. 28)...Against St. Xavier, went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored (Mar. 13).

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville…Lettered all four years in baseball for Head Coach Joel Davis…Played shortstop and second base…Also lettered in wrestling and football.

PERSONAL: Son of the late Mike Coverston and Laura Chambers and step-father Rick Chambers…A sport management major…Has two sisters…Likes to play golf, listen to music and watch movies or sports in his spare time…The best player he has ever faced is Kansas City Royal prospect and former Wolfson High star Billy Butler…His favorite food is watermelon.
