2008 (JUNIOR): Made 12 appearances with five starts...Post an 0-3 record with an 8.80 ERA...Struck out a season-high four batters twice - vs. Georgia Southwestern (Feb. 15) and at Valdosta State (Feb. 20). 

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Graduated from North Florida Community College in Madison…Played for Head Coach Dr. Steve Givens.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Florida High School in Tallahassee…Lettered in baseball and soccer…A two-time honorable mention all-Big Bend Conference selection…Helped lead the Seminoles to the regional finals in 2004...Played for Head Coach John Hollenbeck.

PERSONAL: Son of Walter and Connie Kirkland…A business administration major…Lists “SportsCenter” as his favorite television show…Favorite sports figure is Atlanta Braves pitcher John Smoltz.
