2007 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 29 games, starting 16...Batted .210 with three doubles, four RBI and 11 runs scored...Went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored vs. Lindenwood (Mar. 26)...Went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored vs. Embry-Riddle (Mar. 27)...Went 2-for-4 with a walk and an RBI at Embry-Riddle (Apr. 23). 

2006 (SOPHOMORE): Redshirted last year at Flagler.

2005 (FRESHMAN): Attended Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga….Played in 27 games, starting 10…Batted .378 with 14 hits and 17 runs scored…Was second on the team in stolen bases with 12…Played for Head Coach Jim Peeples. 

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Brookwood High School in Snellville...A two-year letterwinner in baseball for Head Coach Doug Jones…Earned Academic All-County honors as a senior…Earned team’s “Hustle and Attitude” Award.

PERSONAL: Son of Jack and Joy Van Der Sluys…An education major…Has a brother and a sister…His favorite television show is “South Park.”
