Coach Barnett says: “Jimmy will be used in situation primarily against left-hander hitters.  He will also work in short relief.”

2007 (JUNIOR): Made five appearances, all in relief...Posted a 0-1 record and a 6.23 ERA...Pitched a scoreless inning vs. SCAD (Apr. 24).

2006 (SOPHOMORE): Made 11 appearances, all in relief…Earned one save…Tossed 15.0 innings and recorded a 2.40 ERA…Picked up first collegiate save after tossing 1.0 innings in an 8-7 win over Mount Mercy (Mar. 24)…Pitched a season-high 3.1 innings in relief at St. Thomas (Apr. 15)…Pitched in both games that day. 

2005 (FRESHMAN): Made one appearance…Tossed one inning in relief vs. Palm Beach Atlantic (Mar. 12).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Augustine…Lettered all four years in baseball…An All-County selection…Helped lead team to district title as a freshman…Struck 14 batters out in a game…Played for Coach Bernie Packo…Also lettered in football and basketball.

PERSONAL: Son of James and Anne Roche…A political science major…Favorite sports figures are Dontrelle Willis, Johnny Damon and David Ortiz.
