SOPHOMORE (2006): Went 1-4 with a 7.20 earned run average for St. Xavier University in Chicago…He appeared in seven games for the Cougars and started four…Fanned 14 batters in 25.0 innings of work for Head Coach Mike Dooley.

FRESHMAN (2005): Posted a 2-6 record for St. Xavier…Made 12 appearances with four starts and four complete games…He tossed 32.0 innings. HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, Ill.…Lettered four years in baseball for Head Coach Paul Babcock…Earned All-Conference honors as a senior…Captained team as a senior.

PERSONAL: Son of Roger and Evelyn Curran…A business administration major…Has an older sister and a younger brother…His favorite movie is “Wedding Crashers”…His favorite athlete is Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Carlos Zambrano.
