2023 (SOPHOMORE): Received nine starts of the 17 games appeared...Finished with a 3-2 record...Pitched 37.1 innings while fanning 20 batters...Had a season high six scoreless innings in a 7-2 win over Wofford in the Championship round of the SoCon Tournament...Won Regular Season, Conference Tournament Champions and 3rd in the Auburn Regionals.

2022 (FRESHMAN): Made 17 appearances with 15.1 innings pitched…Struck out 18 batters...Finishing his season with a 6.46 ERA.

HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Vestavia Hills High School in Vestavia Hill, Ala...Lettered all four years in baseball as a middle infielder and pitcher...Awarded starting rolls at shortstop and pitcher his freshman year...Senior year he became the starting 3rd baseman and closer on the mound for varsity...He pitched four shutout innings to help bring his team the the second round of area tournament.

CLUB: Pitched in Lima, OH for the Lima locos summer of 2022...Pitcher in Staunton, VA for the Staunton Braves summer of 2023...Pitched in Hendersonville, TN for the full count rhythm summer of 2024-2025.

PERSONAL: Son of Jeff and Lauren Newman...Has one brother...Father is a Samford University baseball alumni...Is mastering in public administration.
