Jonathan Holt enters his seventh season as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Flagler.

During his tenure Holt has seen five of his pitchers get drafted (Garrett Bush, Jonathan Armold, Kuehl McEachern, Kyle Bird and Mike O'Reilly) while another three signed free agent contracts to play professionally (Micah Kellogg, Nathaniel Abel and Matt Wynne). O'Reilly was selected as the Peach Belt Conference's Pitcher of the Year in 2015. Danny Brown and Jake Brandenberger have earned all-conference honors under Holt's tutelage.

In his first season at Flagler, he helped coach one of the best relievers ever for the Saints in Max Rusch. Rusch was a three-time Peach Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week and led the league in appearances (27) and fewest hits allowed (49). He ranked in the top 15 in 10 other pitching categories.

After a stellar prep career at Leesburg High School, he pitched his first season, as a reliever, at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach. He helped lead the Eagles to a runner-up finish at the NAIA World Series. Holt transferred to Seminole Community College in Sanford where he garnered all-state and all-conference honors. He was also named the "Fireman of the Year" in the state of Florida.

Following his time at SCC, he transferred to Division II power - the University of Tampa. He helped lead the Spartans to the 2007 national title. Normally a closer, Holt started and pitched a complete game in the national championship game against Columbus State University. He was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Holt was also selected to the all-South Region and all-Sunshine State Conference teams. He was also a Rawlings/ABCA all-America second-team selection.

The Cleveland Indians selected Holt in the fifth round of the 2007 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft. He spent the next four seasons in their organization before embarking on a coaching career.

Holt graduated from the University of Tampa in 2010 with a bachelor's in liberal studies with a concentration in history.

Jonathan's brother, Josh, was a four-year starter as a first baseman for Flagler from 2000-04. His father, Roger, played for the University of Florida and made it to the Major Leagues with the New York Yankees in 1981.

Jonathan and his wife, Lindsey, reside in St. Augustine.
