Box Score ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - In the 2026 regular season finale, the No. 16 ranked Flagler College women's tennis team defeated No. 33 Middle Georgia State University, 4-3 this afternoon at the Pollard Tennis Center.

To close out the season, the Saints finish at 14-9 overall and 6-1 in conference while the Knights move to 10-7 and 4-3. Postseason conference play begins on Friday, April 24, at the John C. Walden Tennis Center in Columbus, Ga. Flagler locked up the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will face No. 7 Augusta University.

Flagler took two of the three courts in doubles. Sofia Balsera and Leah Waechter took the first win after defeating Irina Furtuna and Lucile Gence 6-4. To close out, Eryka Kruk and Lea Jakic took their set 7-5 over Aya El Marrasse Zarioui and Yana Prihach.

Tight singles play resulted in three Saints pulling out a win. Kruk had little difficulty against Ainhoa Meili Fernandez Del Moral who she defeated 6-0 and 6-1. Elena Ondobo also took her first set in a sweep, followed by a 6-3 over Zarioui. The closer was Ornella Lomenzo against Berta Castello Petrus who she defeated 6-3 and 6-1.
