Eryka Kruk earned a dominate ranked win as the No. 33 ranked Flagler College women's tennis team fell to No. 6 Washburn University this morning at the Pollard Tennis Center.
The Saints played their second consecutive match down a player, resulting in them dropping to 2-6 on the season while the Ichabods jumped up to 5-2. On Wednesday, Mar. 11, the Saints will host current No. 22 Lenoir-Rhyne University at 10 a.m.
Prior to the dropped point in doubles play, court one featuring Kruk and
Sofia Balsera was on the path to a win as they were up 4-2 against Riko Konno Renske Ubachs. Keeping the momentum, No. 40 Kruk earned the only win against the Ichabods in singles. Kruk dominated No. 6 Renske Ubachs 6-0 and 6-3 to give herself her first top-10 ranked win. No. 14
Elena Ondobo and No. 25 Riko Konno were tied 2-2 in the third set of their match.
