ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Flagler College women's tennis team moved up 21 spots to No. 17 in this weeks Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division II National Rankings yesterday afternoon.

The Saints went 2-0 last week, defeating two ranked opponents. Their first win came against No. 17 Lenoir-Rhyne University, 5-2. That following weekend, the Saints defeated No. 41 Wayne State University (Mich.), 4-3.

Senior Eryka Kruk advanced to the highest ranking of her career in singles, at No. 12. Through her two matches, Kruk defeated Runa Muderrisoglu of Lenoir-Rhyne, 6-3 and 7-5. Her second victory was a ranked win over No. 29 Malak Arafat, 7-6(7-5), 5-7 and 6-0. Elena Ondobo moved to No. 17 after going 1-1 on the week. Her win came against Claudia Orsini 6-3 and 6-2.
