ST. AUGUSTINE - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) ranked the Flagler College women's tennis team at No. 4 in this year's Division II preseason tennis rankings, released on Wednesday, Jan. 14 by organization officials.

The Saints capped off their historic "Final Four" run last season with a 23-6 record. During the season the Saints 12 nationally ranked teams, seven of which were in the top-10. NCAA Southeast Regional champions, the Saints rolled their opponents during the tournament, defeating Wingate University and Catawba College with a combined score of 8-1.

During the fall, senior Eryka Kruk advanced to the semifinal round of the ITA Southeast Regional. Newcomer Elena Ondobo advanced to the quarterfinal round.

Despite major roster changes, the Saints enter the season with two nationally ranked players in Kruk at No. 25 and Ondobo at No. 36. Returning from last year is Sofia Balsera who ended the spring off with a 23-6 singles record.

The Saints will open their regular season off, home, against Belmont Abbey College on Feb. 6 at 10 a.m.
