ST. AUGUSTINE - Capping off their two-match week, the No. 3 (ITA Division II Top 25) Flagler College men's tennis team defeated Lenoir-Rhyne University, 6-1 this morning at the Pollard Tennis Center.<br />

The Saints keep their four win-streak alive and move to 5-1 on the season. The Bears suffered their first loss of the season as they dropped to 5-1.<br />

Going 2-1 in doubles for the first time at home this season.
Baptiste Mercier and
Ilian Borlee got things started with a 6-2 win over Mattias Selde and Vadym Rogynski. The doubles clinching win came off another 6-2 victory, led by
Makary Adamek and
Filip Kana over Lucas Galy and Zachary Cox.<br />

The Saints dominated in singles, winning five of their six matches. Mercier and Borlee both defeated their opponents, Rufus Plane and Rogynski, 6-4 in set one then 6-0 in set two.
Aly El Rafie kept his momentum from his ranked win last match, to defeat Raphael Champaud, 6-1 6-4. Adamek played a tight 7-6(4) tie-break in set one then finished off on a 6-1 second to add the Saints fifth point on the day. The final win came from
Simon Malis against after a long 7-5 set one then a 6-4 set two.<br />

Aniss Rafiq won his first set, 6-0, until he withdrew due to injury while down 3-1 in the second set.<br />
