ST. AUGUSTINE –
Rahdir Hicks recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds to help Flagler College roll to a 90-43 win over Trinity College of Jacksonville Tuesday night at Flagler Gymnasium.
Flagler improved to 2-1 on the season. The game was an exhibition for Trinity College of Jacksonville. The Saints host Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Thursday at 7 p.m. at Flagler Gym.
Flagler used a 10-2 spurt midway through the second half to pull away from TCJ. A
Hoku Fisher layup started the run and a
Tariq Daughton three-pointer capped it, giving the Saints a commanding 21-9 lead with 10:04 left in the first half.
The Saints maintained a double-digit lead for nearly the entirety of the game.
Mason Manning led Flagler with 15 points, and he dished out five assists.
Tymoteusz Pszczola added 10 points and nine rebounds while Fisher finished with 10 points, five assists, and four rebounds.
Camden Andrews tacked on 10 points.
Flagler converted 16 turnovers into 18 points, and the Saints scored 19 points in transition.
Diego Fernandez and Tayden Owens led the Eagles with eight points apiece. DJ Thompson and Shadrack Kakora led the team with six rebounds each. The team was limited to 29 percent shooting from the field.
