ST. AUGUSTINE – The Flagler College women's basketball team will be hosting a middle school clinic July 29-Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Flagler Gymnasium.
The clinic is open for girls in grades 6-9 and the cost is $150 and attendees receive a T-shirt.
The middle school years are crucial for player development and is often an overlooked population in summer camps. Flagler College women's basketball wants to remedy that by offering intensive skill training sessions for rising 6th-9th graders. These four days of training are designed for players who are or have been members of a basketball program, i.e. recreational leagues, or middle school/high school programs. This is not a basic basketball camp. We will get into some depth that requires some experience and understanding of the game, so this camp would not be ideal for someone who has never played before. This clinic is perfect for those players who are preparing to try out for high school programs.
This four-day camp will consist of intense offensive and defensive skill development combined with some competitive drills and video sessions. These sessions will be led by Head Coach
Mo Smith, Assistant Coach
Sydney Roberts, and some of the Flagler College players. We look forward to developing the St. John's County's next generation of hoopers! Our staff has a passion for the development of student-athletes, and we hope that by the end of the week, each camper will walk away with more confidence in their ability and knowledge of the game of basketball.
