ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College head women's basketball coach
Mo Smith has released the 28-game schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
The schedule features 12 home contests at Flagler Gymnasium. Three of those contests are against non-Peach Belt Conference opponents.
The Saints open the season at the SAC vs. PBC Challenge at Morrow, Georgia. Flagler opens with Anderson University on Nov. 10 and then will take on The University of Virginia's College at Wise the next day.
Flagler's home opener is Nov. 15 against Rollins College at 6 p.m. at Flagler Gymnasium. Saint Leo University follows on Nov. 18.
Flagler ventures down to Daytona Beach for the Bahama House Shootout, for the second year in a row. The Saints take on the host school, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Nov. 24 and then faces Florida Tech on Nov. 25.
The Saints return home to take on Southern Wesleyan University on Dec. 12.
A road trip to Rollins (Dec. 15) and a tournament at Florida Tech (Dec. 18-19).
The 18-game Peach Belt Conference slate begins on Jan. 3 at the league defending regular and post-season champion, Georgia Southwestern State University. The University of North Georgia visits the Ancient City on Jan. 6.
After a couple of road conference games, Flagler hosts Augusta University (Jan. 17) and Clayton State University (Jan. 20).
PBC newcomer USC Beaufort comes to St. Augustine on Jan. 27. This is the first year for the Sand Shark basketball program.
USC Aiken (Feb. 7), Georgia College & State University (Feb. 10), Columbus State University (Feb. 21), and Lander University (Feb. 28) all come to Flagler in February.
Senior Day will be the regular season finale on March 2 against Georgia Southwestern.
The PBC Tournament will feature the top eight teams with all of the games being played at the No. 1 seed. The quarterfinals begin on March 7 with the semifinals being played the next day and the championship falls on March 10. The winner of the tournament receives the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
Season tickets will go on sale on Oct. 15.
