ST. AUGUSTINE – Flagler College's Moa Arlebo, Jess Leach, Maddie Poole, and Arianna Silva were selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team, according to a release last week.
 
The 2023 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 19 (men) and December 20 (women). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.

Arlebo, a business administration major and an economics minor, scored two goals and tallied two assists in the 17 matches that she started. She earned Peach Belt Conference Defender of the Week honors on Sept. 11. The Örebro, Sweden native is a two-time academic all-conference honoree and is a three-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar. She a two-time recipient of the D2 ADA award.

Leach, a sport management major and a psychology minor, scored three goals and tallied five assists in 18 matches. The Reading, England native is a two-time academic all-conference honoree as well as being a three-time PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar. Leach is a two-time D2 ADA award recipient.

Poole, a political science and history major, scored one goal and had four assists in her 19 starts. The Lexington, South Carolina native has two academic all-conference honors to her credit as well as three PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar honors. Poole is a two-time D2 ADA award recipient.

Silva, a criminology major and a psychology minor, tallied one assist and logged 1,541 minutes in 18 matches. The North Arlington, New Jersey native earned PBC Presidential Honor Roll Gold Scholar honors last year.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
